Women of the West, a celebration of the women who helped settle Cochrane: homesteaders, homemakers, ranchers, entrepreneurs, outlaws, cattle drivers - pioneers, every last one of them.

Martha Birkett, who planned and completed “Giddy Up for Wishes”, a three month, 3500 km ride on horseback from Ottawa to Cochrane to raise money for the Children’s Wish Foundation.
