Burnco Rock Products, BurnsWest Corp and Rocklands Holdings have once again donated their site as our form up area. This is a large gravel area on the east side of River Ave, south of Griffin Road and just north of the Bow River.
We have access to the site on Sunday, September 5 after 2PM. This area will be available for out of town entrants and those who wish to bring their floats, equipment and livestock the day before the parade. Security will be on site.
No entry will be permitted to the site after 9:30AM on parade day as all entrants must be on site prior to this time.
The site will be flagged and you will be directed to a specific area for parking. No parking of any vehicles or equipment is permitted on any grassed area. There is not a problem with having livestock on the grass.
Only parade participants will have access to this site and extra parking is provided across River Ave at the school. If you are dropping off participants please do so outside the form up area.
As stated, livestock is permitted on the grass but you must clean the gravel area prior to your departure. Garbage bins will be placed throughout the area for manure etc.
A water trough will be on site for your stock.
Portable washroom facilities will be available throughout the site.
Overnight camping is permitted however NO FIRES. No exception to this fire ban.
Lost and Found will be located at the info tent.
Certain areas will be flagged as NO ENTRY. Please insure you stay away from these areas as well as the large gravel piles. Insure children are supervised at all times.
Hot Dogs and pop will be available to all volunteers and participants at the conclusion of the parade courtesy of IGA, locally owned and operated by Barry and Dawn Metcalfe. |
